We construct the theory of weight in the context of arithmetic D-modules. Theory of arithmetic D-modules is introduced by P. Berthelot, which is expected to be the coefficient theory of p-adic cohomology. Thanks to works of many people, especially Berthelot, Kedlaya, and Caro, many fundamental properties has been proven. Using these foundations, we establish a theory of weight, which should be regarded as an analogue of Deligne's Weil II. This is a work jointly with D. Caro.
