Tous les ans, l’IHES sélectionne une vingtaine de candidats pour un séjour post-doctoral de deux ans pouvant être prolongé pour un an en mathématique, physique théorique et biologie théorique. Les séjours démarrent au début de l'année académique. En parallèle, une dizaine de doctorants majoritairement affiliés à l'Université Paris-Saclay sont accueillis à l'Institut le temps de leur thèse.
