IHES Participates in the National Shared Conservation Plan for Mathematics Journals

As an active member of the Réseau National des Bibliothèques de Mathématiques (RNBM), the IHES library has contributed to the Shared Conservation Plan for In-Print Mathematics Journals (PCMath) since 2021.

Launched in 2013 by the RNBM and CNRS Mathématiques to support the French mathematical community, PCMath aims to coordinate the national preservation of printed mathematics journal collections, ensuring long-term access for the scientific community.

Thanks to the Merged Catalogue of Mathematics Periodicals, hosted by Mathdoc—the national coordination unit for mathematics documentation—the mathematics community can access all the resources indexed by PCMath. Researchers can thus locate both print and electronic journals available across the RNBM library network.

Over the past 10 years, PCMath has successfully consolidated its network and developed effective tools to support training and knowledge sharing within the community.

In recognition of its achievements, the project was awarded the CNRS Collective Crystal Medal in 2024.
