Slava Rychkov Named Simons Principal Investigator
Slava Rychkov, Permanent Professor of Physics at IHES, has been named a Principal Investigator for the Simons Collaboration on Probabilistic Paths to Quantum Field Theory. This international research collaboration aims to explore probabilistic approaches to deepen our understanding of quantum field theory, a central area of contemporary theoretical and mathematical physics.
In his work, Slava Rychkov aims to develop efficient techniques for solving strongly coupled quantum field theories with methods of conformal field theory and of the renormalization group, in particular using tensor networks.
The associated grant allows for a postdoctoral appointment in Slava Rychkov’s research group. The job description can be found here.
The Institute also warmly congratulates Nikita Nekrasov, former Permanent Professor of Physics at IHES, and Yilin Wang, former Junior Professor of Mathematics at IHES, who are also members of this prestigious international research collaboration.
