Publications Mathématiques de l’IHES Now Published by Centre Mersenne

Starting in January 2026, the Centre Mersenne will publish the Publications Mathématiques de l’IHES in diamond open access.

Publications Mathématiques de l’IHES is an international journal that publishes high-level research articles across all areas of mathematics. Thanks to its long-standing tradition of excellence, the diversity of areas of research it covers, and to its worldwide distribution, the journal enjoys strong international recognition.

The Centre Mersenne, developed by Mathdoc with the support of the CNRS and Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), works to promote scholarly publishing and open access in response to the needs of the research community. IHES has partnered with the Centre Mersenne to evolve its publishing model toward an approach based on shared qualitative commitments: open access, rigorous peer review, and long-term archiving.

Past issues of the journal will be made available on the platform. In parallel, IHES will continue to distribute the printed version of the journal.

This cooperation with the Centre Mersenne marks the completion of the journal’s transition to open access, a process initiated under the leadership of the journal’s former Editor-in-Chief, Nicolas Bergeron.
