The Huawei Young Talents Program fellows at IHES will develop their research on topics of their interest in mathematics and theoretical physics, and will have the possibility to collaborate with the Institute’s permanent professors.

Contract details

The Huawei Young Talents Program fellows will receive a salary, have the opportunity to stay at the IHES housing complex. They will have access to IHES’ facilities (cafeteria, office space, library, seminar room, … ). A personal scholarship will be awarded to finance scientific travel.

The Huawei Young Talents Program offers in 2025:

– 1 position in theoretical physics

IHES is advertising two (2+1)-year post-doctoral positions in theoretical physics with a starting date in the fall 2025. Candidates with a strong background in quantum and/or conformal field theory, effective field theory, gravitation, condensed matter theory and topological field theory, broadly interpreted, and interested in critical phenomena in condensed matter and statistical mechanics, bootstrap, renormalization group, topological phases of matter, generalized symmetries, tensor networks, scattering amplitudes and gravitational wave physics are invited to apply. Successful candidates will collaborate with the IHES physics faculty Clément Delcamp, Sridip Pal, Julio Parra-Martinez, Slava Rychkov and THiabult Damour (Emeritus) will benefit from the vibrant physics community of the greater Paris area.
