Simons Foundation Program – Homological Mirror Symmetry and Applications

IHES offers­ a postdoctoral position starting September 2020 and funded by the Simons Foundation Program « Simons Collaborations in Mathematics and the Physical Sciences » to work on the following projec­t:
Homological Mirror Symmetry and Applications­­ ­

We are looking for an exceptional postdoc, who should have a solid knowledge in the area, its algebraic and/or non-archimedean aspects, and will work under direct supervision of Maxim Kontsevich.

Most of the research will be done in IHES. Travel to UPenn, Columbia, Harvard, UC Berkeley and collaboration with other members of the project are possible.

Contract details

Each postdoctoral fellow will receive a net salary of 2900€ (including full health insurance and social coverage). He/she can be accomodated in the IHES nearby residence by paying a 700€ rent and will have free access to the IHES cafeteria for lunch.

Some funding will also be available to participate in scientific events related to the project.

The postdoctoral fellow will be requested to write a report at the end of the year on his/her scientific accomplishment comparing it with the initial Project and describing the perspectives
