Computational and information-theoretic phase transitions in large-scale inference problems – 9th Itzykson Seminar

On Wednesday 21 November 2018, IHES will host the 9th Itzykson Seminar, titled “Computational and information-theoretic phase transitions in large-scale inference problems”.

The program includes three lectures. Laurent Massoulié (MSR-INRIA) in the morning followed by Lenka Zdeborova (IPhT CEA) and Andrea Montanari (Stanford Univ.) in the afternoon.

The detailed program of the conference is available here.

Since 2012 the Itzykson seminars have been organized by Nicolas Curien, Thibault Damour, Maxim Kontsevich, Kirone Mallick, Stéphane Nonnenmacher and Pierre Vanhove within the context of the Labex Mathématiques Hadamard (LMH).

Participation is free but registration is compulsory. A buffet lunch is offered to all registered participants and young researchers can ask LMH for their travel expenses to be reimbursed.
