Special Day “Journée Gretchen & Barry Mazur”

This one-day conference in honor of Gretchen and Barry Mazur originated with the creation of the triennal Chair “Gretchen and Barry Mazur“, thanks to a gift from William R. Hearst III. The mathematician Alexander Goncharov is the first holder of the Chair.

Several presentations in topics related to Barry Mazur’s work will be proposed during this inaugural day, organised by Emmanuel Ullmo, Director of IHES, on July 5 at IHES.

The invited speakers are:
– Pierre Colmez (IMJ-PRG),
– Kęstutis Česnavičius (Univ. Paris-Sud),
– Ziyang Gao (IMJ-PRG),
– Alexander Goncharov (Yale Univ. – IHES),
– Barry Mazur (Harvard Univ.).
