The Statistics and Machine Learning Day on 30 January 2019 at IHES

On January 30th, the Statistics and Machine Learning Day will take place at IHES, organised by Pierre ALQUIER (ENSAE) and Alexandre GRAMFORT (INRIA).

The aim of this workshop is to bring together mathematicians and computer scientists with talks on recent results in statistics and machine learning. Various theoretical topics in machine learning will be presented, such as optimization, deep learning or probability theory, as well as applications to astrophysics and biology.

Invited speakers are: Jérôme BOBIN (CEA-LCS), Robert GOWER (Telecom ParisTech), Flora JAY (CNRS et LRI), Edouard OYALLON (CentraleSupélec and INRIA), Thanh Mai PHAM NGOC (LMO-Université Paris-Sud) and Erwan CORNET (CMAP and École polytechnique).
