IHES is advertising two 3-year post-doctoral positions in mathematics with a starting date in the fall 2024, financed by the Simons Foundation programme:

« Simons Collaboration on Perfection in Algebra, Geometry, and Topology “

Candidates with a strong background in arithmetic geometry, algebraic topology, analytic geometry, commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, homotopy theory, and/or number theory are invited to apply. PIs in the Paris region are Kęstutis Česnavičius, Pierre Colmez, Wiesława Nizioł, and IHES mathematics faculty member Dustin Clausen.

Contract details

Each postdoctoral fellow will receive a net salary of 3900€ (including full health insurance and social coverage). IHES can provide housing for the first 2 years in the Ormaille residence located near the Institute in exchange for a 500 euros monthly contribution. The fellow will have access to the IHES cafeteria for lunch.

Some funding will also be available to participate in scientific events related to the project.

The postdoctoral fellow will be requested to write a report at the end of the year on his/her scientific accomplishment comparing it with the initial Project and describing the perspectives.
